So i was thinking of buying a travel trailer to live in but I realized that propane is very expensive and thats what you have to use to heat them esp in the winter. Is their any other way to heat trailers or are there specific trailers that don't run using propane?
Also if it says "central air" does that still use propane?
I also realize i could use some kind of space heater but I'm afraid to, I know they can be dangerous.|||If you live in winter country, like the northern states or most of Canada, you cannot live in a travel trailer, they have far too little insulation in winter, plus, if you are in a holiday or seasonal spot, there is no water or sewer service in the winter, and the roads are not cleared, either. If you are in an area that doesn't have such winters, you still need a place to park the trailer, and propane is still the best choice. An electric space heater is not sufficient, and your propane furnace is forced air to cover the whole (small) area. Why do you want to live in something that is totals about the size of the small bedroom in a cheap apartment?
You aren't talking about a mobile home are you? If so, they can be heated by propane, oil, electricity, or, if available in the area, natural gas, and the central air uses electricity. I have never seen a travel trailer, other than the large park models, with central air, it is usually an evaporative roof air conditioner.|||Yes they all use propane and the central air uses either electricity or a generator......
