I'm planning on buying a used travel trailer to live in for 2 years. I'm running into the term "self contained" or "not self contained" in ads- What is the difference? Thanks-What is the difference between a self contained travel trailer and one that is not self contained?
Self contained has tanks for clean water, grey water, black water, and propane. They also have generators so you can have power without being plugged in. You can go camp in the woods without benefit of electrical, water, or sewer hookups. What is the difference between a self contained travel trailer and one that is not self contained?
self contained is what you want it has stove, fridge, bathroom facilities, sleeping area...
not self contained is a trailer used for moving things it is just a box..nothing elseWhat is the difference between a self contained travel trailer and one that is not self contained?
Self contained means it has cooking and bathroom facilities. One that was not self contained, means you would at least have to have toileting facilities nearby. If you want to live in this for 2 years you WANT one that is self contained.
